Nigerian singer, Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong has been arrested and detained by the Police in Lagos State, following a petition sent to the Inspector General of Police IGP, Usman Baba-Alkali, by artist manager, Soso Soberekon after the singer accused him of attempted murder.
The singer was arrested on Tuesday, at the Lagos Airport, after he landed in Nigeria, days after he made the allegation in an interview.
Spokesperson of the Lagos state Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed Harrysong’s arrest in a statement on Tuesday. He said the arrest is in continuation with their investigation that emanated from a petition against the singer.
Harrysong is currently having a running battle with his enstranged friend Soso Soberekon. He alleged that some persons tried to kill him in his house in Port Harcourt, and that they were sent by Soberekon.
Responding to the allegation, Soberekon on his Instagram page slammed Harrysong with a lawsuit. And demanded a retraction of the statement, an apology and N500,000,000 in compensation.
