Rivers State Governor, Similanayi Fubara, has donated the sum of fifty million naira to the state female handball team – Rivers Queens for winning the 2023 National Division One Handball League
The governor pronounced this when the team visited him at Government House to present the trophy Today.
According to him, the donation is to encourage the team to do more.
“You know things are very hard now but I also have to also encourage you people. For this particular victory, this government is going to support the team, in a way of donation, [with] the sum of N50m,” he said
