Four persons were yesterday shot dead after heavily armed gunmen suspected to be cultists invaded the Edeoha community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Sources say the incident which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, left residents in fear as the assailants, believed to be members of the Iceland cult group, shot sporadically.
They said the gunmen went from house to house in search of their targets.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the incident. Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko said it s cult related.
