Unconfirmed reports say unknown gunmen attacked military personnel along the Asari-Toru axis of the Kalabari road on Sunday morning.
The attack left one soldier dead while two others were allegedly injured.
The soldiers, stationed along the road to ensure safety of lives and properties were ambushed by the assailants who came through a bush.
The Army is yet to confirm the attack, as efforts to reach spokesperson of the sixth division, proved abortive.
