A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has today sentenced Gracious David-West to death by hanging. David-West is being held responsible for murdering several females in hotels across the Rivers State.
Judge Adolphous, the trial judge delivered the ruling today. He said the prosecution counsel was able to prove that David-West was guilty of the crime.
The trial judge also discharged and acquitted a hotel manager, who was accused of misconduct in handling the body of one of the female victims.
Meanwhile, some stakeholders have hailed the ruling of the court stating that it would go a long way to deterring other criminals from committing such heinous crime.
