Social Activist and Spokesperson of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Solomon Lenu has described Governor, Nyesom Wike’s administration as a period of ‘Reverse Governance in Rivers State.
Lenu who made this known in a statement today, said Rivers people shall remember this bleak and inglorious period of their lives when Governor, Wike’s tenure ends in 2023.
The outspoken activist has been critical of the Wike administration.
His statement reads,
Reverse Governance In Rivers State.
Rivers Transport Company (RTC) has been closed down for 2yrs now. What offence from the workers will Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike – CON attribute this to?
Dispatch Riders has been home for nearly three months now. Thousands of young Rivers youth who do their drop shipping business with the aid of these dispatch Riders, have all been rendered helpless.
Pensioners gratuity is still unpaid despite all the cries and protest by these aged citizens.
Demonstration Staff-school Teachers are still unpaid for over 5yrs now, despite two court judgements in their favour from both a high-court and an appeal court.
Rivers Students who started RSU from Gov Wike’s first tenure, will finish university without knowing what is called bursary, what a strange period to be a Rivers student.
The series of unfulfilled promises are uncountable. 5000 teachers employment was just a verbose expression, NO promotion in civil service for seven straight years now.
Soot menace is eminently back as we speak, and that whole 2minutes charade has ended so abruptly.
etc etc etc. & the list of reverse governance goes on.
