Former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Orji Kalu has said that Governor Nyesom Wike is needed in the All Progressives Congress.
Kalu in a chat with journalists after an inspection tour of projects in Rivers State, assured members of the party that Wike, will join the ruling party soon.
The Chief Whip noted that he spoke with the Governor all night, about him joining the party, so that Rivers people can benefit more from the Federal Government.
“I urge the Governor to partner with the APC, I discussed with him all through the night to find a common ground with the APC, I believe that very soon it shall come to reality,” he said.
“I urged Wike to soft pedal on our party, humans can switch from one party to another which is human behavior in Africa,” Kalu added.
