Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. George Ariolu has described Governor, Nyesom Wike as a rare breed who stands and fights for what is just and right.
Ariolu, disclosed this in a chat with us in his office on Wednesday, while reacting to the crises rocking the People’s Democratic Party.
According to him, Wike is being called names for fighting injustice in the party, and insisting that the right things be done.
He stated that while many persons in the PDP today, abandoned the party, Gov. Wike singlehandendly sponsored the party, and ensured it did not collapse. He said PDP is alive today because of the Rivers State Governor.
Hon. Ariolu explained that the issue in the party is that of injustice as some persons believe that they should get everything and expect others to keep silent and tag along.
The outspoken council boss also said that the problem with Nigeria is not leadership but injustice, adding that it is only justice that can bring about lasting peace.
He explained further that the PDP is seen as a national party because of it’s national spread, stating that positions had always been shared between the North and South.
The council boss declared that history will remember Wike for standing against what is wrong, adding that the issues are not about the governor.
He said Wike is not like the average Nigeria politician who shouts and keeps quiet after receiving something. Describing him as a rare Nigerian politician.
On the way forward ahead of the presidential election: Ariolu said Wike is their Garrison commander in Rivers State and that anywhere he goes, there they would go.
