The Executive Governor of Rivers State, H.E Sir, Siminalayi Fubara was yesterday conferred with a chieftaincy title – the Eze Igwugwu of Emohua Kingdom by the traditional ruler of Emohua, Ohna Sergeant Awuse.
This was during the one year anniversary celebration of HRM Sir Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse on the throne as the Paramount Ruler of Emohua Kingdom and celebration of 71st Birthday anniversary ; appointment as chancellor of LAUTECH and appointment as chairman of Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers.
The event took place at at the central state school 1 field (Ahiaezi ) Emohua town in Emohua LGA, Rivers State.
The Governor, who commended the paramount ruler for the honour vowed to partner with traditional rulers in building a prosperous Rivers state.
He also described traditional rulers as critical stakeholders whose efforts at peace building in their various domains contribute to achieving good governance.
