The Genesis Group Nigeria, has donated the sum of five million naira to the Rivers State Government to assist in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Group Managing Director of Genesis Group, Dr. Nnaeto Orazulike, made the donation to the state today, in Port Harcourt.
He commended the government for the proactive measures taken so far to curb the spread of the virus in the state.
Dr. Nnaeto who was accompanied by his management team, assured the state government of the company’s support anyway it can, during these trying times.
The State Commissioner of Health, Prof. Princewill Chike while receiving the gift on behalf of the government, commended the organization for its benevolence. He assured them that the money will be used judiciously, as they have always done.
The Commissioner who stated that the government will continue to take measures aimed at protecting the lives and well-being of Rivers people at all times, called on other organizations to equally support the government.
