A gas explosion from a pipeline reportedly owned by the Nigerian Agip Company (NAOC) has rocked Omoku town in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The incident occured at the weekend close to the Grace Orphanage Home, off Egbada Road in Omoku.
Leader of Egbema Voice of Freedom (EVF) Pastor, Nicholas confirmed the incident in a statement.
According to him, the pipelines were old and required immediate replacement.
“The ruptured pipeline is yet to be clamped by Agip or Oando as we speak. Gas fumes is in the air,” he said.
