Two persons have been injured after an explosion at a gas plant, Rhodax International Oil and Gas on Egbelu Road by Slaughter, Port Harcourt.
Eyewitnesses say the incident which occured on Monday night, razed down buildings and properties worth millions.
A resident of the area in a post on Facebook, said her brother was amongst the casualties. She said he is receiving treatment in a hospital and called for prayers for him to stay alive.
She also said if not for the timely intervention of fire fighters it would have been a different story.
“I commend the firefighters for their timely intervention. It would have been a different story… We noticed the explosion, called immediately, n they appeared in no time. Kudos to the firemen,” she said.
