Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has extended his heartfelt condolences to former Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, following the death of his mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onwuka Nzeshi, Fubara described the passing of Amaechi’s mother as an irreparable loss not only to her immediate family but also to the Catholic community, the people of Ubima, and Rivers State as a whole.
The governor noted that losing a mother is a deeply painful experience and urged the former governor and his family to find comfort in the exemplary life she lived and the enduring legacies she left behind.
He also acknowledged the significant role the late matriarch played in shaping the character and values of her family and contributing positively to her community.
Fubara prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved family and asked Him to grant the soul of Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi eternal rest.
