The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Rivers State Sector Command has launched a special operation to curb the use of fake number plates and illegal vehicle registrations across the state.
The enforcement exercise, which began on Monday, February 17, 2025, targets private, commercial, government, and diplomatic vehicles with fraudulent registration numbers.
Sector Commander Inyang Umoh, who led the operation alongside senior officers, stated that the initiative is part of a nationwide directive already in effect in Abuja and other parts of the country.
