MEDITATION SCRIPTURE: “And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, in have considered the thing, which thou sendest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar and concerning timber of fig” (1Kgs.5:8)
READ: 1 KINGS 5:6-11
6 Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians. 7 And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people. 8 And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir. 9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household. 10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire. 11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.
Solomon major assignment on the throne was to build befitting temple for the name of the Lord. The scripture recorded that David made some provisions for this enormous project (Chron.28:11-18). When it was time to begin, Solomon sought the help of Hiram king of Tyre who was also a friend to his father David. He needed timber and fig tree for the building of the temple. All these Hiram agreed to supply, even providing labour both to transport and break them to size. Dear reader, as we drawn close to the end of the year, within these remaining few months, I see unusual favour coming your way. Whenever God gives a vision, he makes provisions for its accomplishment. It happened in the wilderness when the children of Israel were matching to the promise land. God gave Moses the vision of building a Tabernacle. The Israelites though in the wilderness, contributed enough resources for this building. Added to that, God chose two young men, Bazaleel and Aholiab; He filled with unusual wisdom, so that they were able to design and create all the vessels of the tabernacle. I declare to you today that your vision will not die in your hands. You will not lack resources and helpers to finish that project in Jesus name. Every divine project you have shall receive divine sponsorship in Jesus name. Amen.
TURNING POINT: Whenever God gives a vision, he makes provisions for its accomplishment.
PRAYER POINT: Father, release the rain of Your favour upon my life to accomplish Your purpose in Jesus name.
