Th Supreme Court has ordered former Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi to appear before the Commission of Inquiry set up by the Rivers State Government to investigate his tenure as governor of the state.
Amaechi had gone to court to restrain the state government from investigating his administration.
However, the apex court in its ruling this morning said the suit lacked merit, and ought to be dismissed.
The former Transport Minister was also slammed with a N1 million fine.
He is being investigated over alleged N96b fraud and alleged fraudulent sale of valued assets belonging to the Rivers State.
