A US court has dismissed the fraud case levelled against Olalekan Ponle a.k.a Mr Woodberry who was arrested alongside Hushpuppi by the Interpol in the UAE for alleged fraud.
The United States government had on Monday July 20th filed a motion through its attorney, John R. Lausch requesting that the case against him be dismissed, despite Woodberry being indicted by a grand jury on an eight-count charge of fraud.
Mr Woodberry’s fraud case is said to have been dismissed due to lack of substantial evidence to prove that he is guilty as charged.
Judge Robert ruled that “Without objection the complaint against defendant Ponle is dismissed without prejudice. Motion presentment hearing set for 7/23/2020 is stricken.”
