The heavy rains at the weekend took its toll on residents of NPA quarters along Habour road, Old Port Harcourt Township as over 30 houses were affected and properties worth million destroyed.
item such as electronics, mattresses, foodstuffs and cooking utensils were destroyed by the flash floods which sacked homes.
Some temporarily displaced victims told newsmen that the flash floods were largely caused by activities of companies around the area which has blocked major drainages and water channels.
They called on the state government to come to their aid as they have nowhere to run to.
