A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Tuesday, sentenced five persons to death by hanging for the kidnap and murder of one Mr. Anthony Okoro in Port Harcourt, few years ago.
The trial judge, Justice George Omereji in his verdict yesterday, convicted the suspects on charges bordering on murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and seven others.
According to reports, the convicted criminals attacked and killed the victim at his residence in Woji and carted away his body in one of victim’s cars.
