The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has promised to give two utility vehicles and Five Million Naira (N5M) monthly subvention to the Federal Fire Service in the State.
Wike, disclosed this while receiving fire equipments donated to the state by the Federal Government on Thursday, in Port Harcourt.
The governor, urged personnel of the Federal Fire Service to use the equipments for the benefit of residents of Rivers State.
He warned that the Rivers State government will not fail to withdraw its support, if they fail to deploy their personnel to assist in putting out fire outbreak in the State.
“If I find out any day there is fire outbreak and I hear you say there are no consumables , we will stop giving you stipends to take care of these vehicles,” he said.
