The Federal Government of Nigeria, has promised to complete the Bodo-Bonny road in Rivers State, before the end of the current administration.
Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola who disclosed this during an inspection tour of the project, described it as the toughest road project in the world.
He said the road was not politicized and that the government has redoubled its effort to ensure its timely completion.
The Minister, also described the 40 kilometers road as the foundation of the economic prosperity of the nation, which is paralled to the third mainland bridge in Lagos State.
He called on Nigerians to be patient and support the current administration in delivering the dividends of democracy.
“I am very confident that what is happening at Eko bridge, the third mainland bridge is going to happen here and this will just be the first of many interventions of this administration,” he said.
