The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that schools in the country must put all COVID-19 safety measures in place before they are allowed to reopen.
Olorunnimbe Mamora, the Minister of State for Health made this known at the PTF briefing on COVID-19 in Abuja.
He said, “it is therefore pertinent at this point to renew the warning of the PTF on the reopening of schools so as not to expose our children to the risk of infections.”
He noted that research have shown that children and adolescents also contract the dreaded coronavirus which currently has no cure.
