Islamic cleric Sheikh Gumi, has reacted to reports that he is the only one who knows the hiding place of bandits and herdsmen, why the Federal Government, does not know.
Gumi in a chat with Journalists today, said it is not true that the Federal Government does not know the hiding place of bandits.
He said the government knows their hideout but was only playing safe now, because it realised that attacking bandits all the time was not working.
“The first approach they had when they go in and start killing, they realised is the wrong way and that they were producing a monster,” he said.
“They (government) know. They see them (bandits) by aerial view. But the military has learned its lesson,” he said.
In addition, he urged the Federal Government to go in and negotiate with them so as to put an end to the lingering crises.
