The meeting between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities yesterday, ended in a deadlock as both parties failed to agree on the platform to be used in the payment of salaries and allowances of lecturers.
Both parties are expected to meet again, Monday October 26 2020, to finally agree on the platform that will be used to disburse their salaries and allowances.
While the federal government is insisting and wants the salaries of lecturers to be disbursed through the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System platform, ASUU on its part, has rejected the proposal.
