The Federal Government of Nigeria on Tuesday, announced the approval of an increase in the salary of civil servants from between 25 and 35 percent.
Emmanuel Njoku, Head of Press, National Salaries, Incomes, and Wages Commission in a statemwnt said the increase takes effect on January 1, 2024.
According to him only workers on the remaining six Consolidated Salary Structures will benefit.
It specified the Salary Structures to include; Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS), Consolidated Research and
Allied Institutions Salary Structure (CONRAISS).
Others are Consolidated Police Salary Structure (CONPOSS), Consolidated Para-military Salary Structure (CONPASS), Consolidated
Intelligence Community Salary Structure (CONICCS) and Consolidated Armed Forces Salary Structure (CONAFSS).
