Former House of Representatives member, Farah Dagogo, has officially entered the 2027 Rivers State governorship race after obtaining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) nomination form.
The governorship form was picked up on his behalf in Abuja on Monday by some of his associates.
Speaking on his ambition, Dagogo said his administration would focus on transforming Rivers State into a major economic and development hub through a governance framework built on Diplomacy, Information, Security and Economy (DISE).
He disclosed that his administration would prioritise youth empowerment through the establishment of a Youth Entrepreneurship Development Trust Fund, which would be backed by legislation. According to him, at least five percent of the state’s annual capital budget would be allocated to support young entrepreneurs.
Expressing optimism about his chances in the contest, the former lawmaker said the level of support he enjoys across Rivers State gives him confidence of securing the ADC ticket and winning the governorship election.
“My mission is to serve the people, not to rule them,” he said, adding that his proposed administration would be inclusive and focused on the welfare of all Rivers people regardless of political affiliation.
