A student of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Chiamaka Nora, who was expelled following a viral video in which she claimed that her project supervisor was writing her final-year project, has appealed to the university management to reconsider its decision and allow her to complete her education.
Nora, a student in the Department of English and Literacy, said the video was intended for fun and denied that the project topic she mentioned in it was her actual research topic.
She expressed regret over her actions, saying she did not anticipate that the video would attract such severe consequences.
According to her, the incident has subjected her to significant embarrassment, prompting her to appeal to the university authorities for leniency.
Nora maintained that she had learned from her mistake and promised not to repeat such conduct, urging the management to give her another opportunity to complete her studies.
The university reportedly expelled Nora after a video surfaced in which she claimed to have paid her supervisor the sum of ₦150,000 to write her final-year project, which she identified as “Citizenship.”
She is now seeking a reversal of the expulsion, expressing hope that the university management will reconsider its decision and grant her a second chance.
