The newly appointed Acting Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Hon. Robinson Ewor, has affirmed Governor Sim Fubara as the political leader of the state.
Speaking at a press briefing shortly after his appointment, Ewor called on the party’s National Working Committee and stakeholders to rally behind the governor to advance the party’s agenda and the state’s development.
Ewor accused the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, of using All Progressives Congress (APC) members to undermine the PDP in the state. He claimed that genuine party members have reclaimed control of the PDP from those he described as Wike’s appointees.
He also announced plans to organize congresses in the state, dismissing any claims of division within the party.
