You had everything going on for you – great career, lovely relationships, financial prosperity, and within a split of moment, you lose a child, spouse, experienced down-turn in finances, career, health and relationships. And the troubles wouldn’t go away. How could God allow these to happen? Many of us usually conclude that:
- God is wicked, heartless and merciless. Is He not God? Where was He?
Really? The nature and character of God can never be seen with a trace of our human assumptions and conclusions, when the storms of life hit us. King David understood this: “For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness” (Psalms 5:4). In God, there is no wickedness. His love exceeds the pains and challenges you will ever go through. Repent today; experience His goodness.
MEDITATION: MY FATHER, I REPENT OF MY WRONG CONCLUSIONS ABOUT YOU. YOU’RE A GOOD FATHER; I’M LOVED BY YOU.
