Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Obinna Anyanwu has denied sending thugs to attack Leader of the legislative arm, Cynthia Nwala.
Nwala, who was beaten and stripped naked today, after plenary in a statement accused the council chairman of being responsible for the attack.
However, Hon Anyanwu shortly after the incident alleged that Mrs Nwala stormed the House, with armed police officers and over 20 thugs, as she attempted to cart away with the maze.
The council boss, said he never attacked her, and that she is only bent on tarnishing his image.
Meanwhile, Civil Society Groups have condemned the attack and called on the Police to investigate and ensure Justice is served on the matter.
