The Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Chima Njoku, has presented a proposed N13.7 billion 2026 Appropriation Bill to the 10th Legislative Assembly of the council.

Presenting the budget, tagged “Budget of Renewed Hope,” Njoku said the proposal is designed to drive economic growth and improve the welfare of residents across the local government area.

He explained that the budget prioritizes key sectors, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure development, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life of the people and accelerating development in Etche.

According to the council chairman, the implementation of the budget, when passed by the legislative arm, will promote quality education, improve access to healthcare services, boost economic activities, and facilitate rapid development across communities in the area.

Njoku urged members of the 10th Legislative Assembly to give the appropriation bill speedy consideration to enable the council achieve its development objectives for the 2026 fiscal year.
