Rivers State Governor, Barr, Nyesom Wike has directed the Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Hon. Obinna Anyanwu to immediately begin the construction of a Police station close to the newly built Etche Campus of the Rivers State University.
Gov. Wike gave the directive at the commissioning of the campus in Abara, Etche Today.
According to him, the essence of the station is to provide security for students and residents of the area.
Gov. Wike maintained that he will continue to fight for the interest of the state, adding that he will not succumb to threats from any quarter.
He insisted that those who want Rivers votes must tell Rivers people what they will do for them.
Some notable features of the campus include, a clinic facility, technical areas for agricultural practicals, generator house for power supply, maintenance block, lecturers quaters, security office, hostels, classroom blocks among others.
