TEXT: JOHN 12:15-50
MEMORY VERSE: “But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him.” John 12:37 KJV
0 And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. 11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. 12 When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted lace ”
The Pharisees and Scribes didn’t believe Jesus Christ, both the works they saw Him do and the revelation of His Word, even as personified in Him. The same error has prevailed in the body of Christ today; many believers do not believe in Christ Jesus, even when they think they do.
The actual test of true faith (belief) in Jesus Christ is in the test of time, during challenges that are beyond human capacity. The Bible warms that many might not enter into God’s rest because of unbelief and the Word preached; as long as it wasn’t mixed with faith, it won’t profit the hearers. (Heb. 4:2)
Many are the hearers of the Word of God, and after hearing they forget all they have heard, and e the testimonies of the brethren, which should boost their faith (James 1:22). Faith itself comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. It is extremely wrong to hear and not believe, considering who has been for us (Jesus Christ) and the good works He performs.
Most times, it is lack of Faith that keeps believers in critical conditions, and no sign or wonder happens in their life. Jesus says that it’s only those who believe that will receive signs – healing, breakthrough, salvation, success and above all, God’s power working in them (Mark 16:17-18)
Read Hebrews 11, and learn how men of faith used it as a currency and key to access the inner chambers of God’s heart and their lives changed massively.
- Check yourself today; perhaps it’s your unbelief that has kept you in that condition.
- Put all your trust in Lord, have faith in Him, despite the situation and He shall come to your aid; pray!
