TEXT: PROVERBS 15:16-33
MEMORY VERSE: “Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.” (Proverb 15:16 NIV).
Many people would do almost anything to become rich and wealthy. But wealth does not consist of material things alone. The greatest wealth anyone can possess in life is having peace with God and maintaining a good and unbroken relationship with Him; that is the starting point.
Men and women of God in the time past nurtured their relationship with Him throughout life. For this reason, they received the grace for prosperity in all areas of life. Abraham Isaac Jacob, Joseph, Job, Dorcas, Daniel, Shadrach Meshack, Abednego, Priscilia, Acquila, and other triumphant saints. God is not ashamed to be called their God (Heb. 11:16). His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord is not ashamed to call them brethren (Heb. 2:11).
The first thing to do is to cultivate the fear of God in our heart, and obey Him without reservations. His blessings would come to us freely and liberally, if we “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matt. 6:33). He will partner with us in everything concerning our life: business, career, education, occupation, health, and much more; for we should seek riches, wealth, and prosperity in all these areas; as the Bible says: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2 NKJV). That way, we would live under His grace, protection, provision, guidance, favour, and love. He will take care and perfect everything concerning us (1 Thess. 3:10).
Let us keep close to God always; that’s all that we need.
- Do all you can to be in God’s good books, and all will be well with you.
- Oh Lord, grant me the grace to remain faithful to you in all areas of my life.
