MEMORY VERSE: “And many charged him to hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David have mercy on me.” Mark 10:48
TEXT: MARK 10:46-52
46 Then they came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, a son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have pity and mercy on me [now]!
48 And many severely censured and reproved him, telling him to keep still, but he kept on shouting out all the more, You Son of David, have pity and mercy on me [now]!
49 And Jesus stopped and said, Call him. And they called the blind man, telling him, Take courage! Get up! He is calling you.
50 And throwing off his outer garment, he leaped up and came to Jesus.
51 And Jesus said to him, What do you want Me to do for you? And the blind man said to Him, Master, let me receive my sight.
52 And Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has healed you. And at once he received his sight and accompanied Jesus on the road.

It is a man who has other options to get solutions to his challenges that does not remain consistent in his demand from the king. Those who understand that Jesus is the only way to their life solutions keep worshipping and believing until the time of the Lord for them comes.
If you trust God, you must ignore distractions. Distraction comes through what others are doing or gaining or what they are saying or enjoying. Your present condition should not make you retreat. You must move on with your service to God, prayer to the Lord and service to men in the name of the Lord – with all that you can do (Mark 10:46-49).
God is a record keeper and He rewards greatly. He does not neglect those who consistently serve Him and who in spite of all human challenges remain faithful and focused. He is a righteous God. He will answer and give you a solution at His set time (Mark 10:49-52).
- Can you trust, obey and see God’s intervention?
- I thank you Father for your intervention and restoration of my joy, in Jesus name. Amen.
