TEXT: ESTHER 8:1-17
MEMORY VERSE: “Now write another decree in the king’s name in behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king’s signet ring – for no document written in the king’s name and sealed with his ring can be revoked”(Esther 8:8 NIV).
God can rewrite our life story if we have peace with Him. The enemy may have his toll upon our life but the Lord will cancel it all and give us a new beginning. If circumstances in our life presently are not favourable, let us be patient and sober; for He has promised to give us a new beginning. He said, “Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isa. 43:19 NKJV).
Haman had instigated the king to pass a decree that would have destroyed the Jews. But when God changed the captivity of His people, another decree went out through Mordecai, which gave them their lives back; it granted them unrestrained liberty of free born citizens to assemble together, and to defend themselves against any aggression, including the right to kill and destroy their enemies anywhere in the Persian empire (Esther 8:8-13).
The Bible says, “… When the Lord shall restore the fortunes of His people, then Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad” (Ps. 14:7 AMP). When God intervened, “For the Jews it was a time of happiness and joy, gladness and honor … And many people of other nationalities became Jews because fear of the Jews had seized them” (Esther 8:16-17 NIV). One of God’s promises to His people is that “The sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending low to you, and all those who despised you shall bow down at your feet” (Isa. 60:14 AMP).
For people who become the saints of God by changing from their sinful life to godliness, righteousness, and holy living, God will do a new thing and rewrite everything concerning them.
- Return to God fully and He will restore your glory.
- Lord, please restore to me the joy of your full salvation.
