ESOCS Devotional 26 July
TEXT: Mark 4: 1-25
MEMORY VERSE: “Some fell on stony ground, where it … but other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced. Some thirty fold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” Mark 4:5-8 NKJV.
This is the parable of the sower and the seed by Jesus. The sower in a person of influence, a leader anyone who declares God’s word. The sower scatters a lot of seed and only later determines the character of the soil. All leaders need to note the principles mentioned here under.

- A lot of seed must be scattered to produce a crop.
- Not all soils produce but we cannot reap if we do not sow.
- We must continue sowing, because one day we will reap the harvest.
- The soil that produces will multiply, we will reap more than we sow.
- We will reap in proportion to what we have sown.
- We cannot control last year’s harvest but we can about this year’.
- We must believe in the seed we sow, knowing that some will produce fruit.
- Once we see fruit, all our efforts seem worth while.
Therefore, let us continue sowing the seed.
CHALLENGES
- Are you sowing any seed?
PRAYER POINT: Pray that your seed will fall on fertile ground.
