TEXT: REVELATION 4:1-11
MEMORY VERSE: “And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” (Revelation 4:8 KJV).
All creation in heaven and on earth acknowledge and testify to the holiness of God. He is the personification of holiness. His purity is unfathomable, and is of magnificent grandeur. He radiates splendid light in His nature, which in itself is the brilliance and radiance of purity, holiness, and righteousness beyond comprehension; and He is distinct in all His virtues and attributes.
Holiness, righteousness, integrity, and sanctification are some elements of His divine nature. When He created us, He infused such qualities in us, that we may be like Him.
The four beasts worship Him unceasingly: they rest not day and night. We have that obligation too: to worship God all the time, and extol unceasingly, His holiness, and all other glorifying attributes.
We should praise Him exceedingly and continually for His love, kindness, benevolence, blessings, patience with us, among others. Praising and worshiping Him should be to us like the food we eat. We should attend to it with unalloyed devotion and joy in our heart.
Let us strive to be like Him until we attain the status of Christ, for only then would we become the true sons and daughters of God; “The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons [and daughters] of God to be revealed” (Rom. 8:19 NIV).
The beasts worship God ceaselessly day and night. God is looking for His true worshipers in the world. Are you in that number?
- How committed are you in your devotion to God?
- Lord, guide me in my quest and taste for you.
