TEXT: HEBREWS 10:1-18
MEMORY VERSE: “And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Hebrew 10:17 KJV
0 And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. 11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. 12 When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted lace ”
One of the most wonderful things we receive when we come to the Saviour is the total forgiveness of our sins. The forgiveness we receive is complete and total. It’s a total cleansing that makes us pure so that when God sees us He sees no sin or iniquity. The verse before us says, “And their sins and iniquities I will remember no more.” What a great privilege to receive such priceless gift because of what Jesus did for us. Is there no cause for rejoicing? When I still remember how dirty and how bad I was before I came to the Lord, I still feel remorseful and sometimes a sense of shame come to me; and I kept wondering how I got into such a mess; yet, God does not remember any of that concerning me because He now sees me in His son Jesus Christ. How wonderful it is!
Have you given your heart to Jesus and the enemy still hunts you with the guilt of sin? Remember God said He will not remember you sin any more. Arise and rebuke the enemy, stand on the word of God. Do not allow the enemy to deprive you the joy laid up for you in Christ.
You may be reading this today and you have gone so deep into iniquity that you are wondering if the promise applies to you at all. Turn to the Lord now confess your sins and receive God’s forgiveness. You don’t need to go a day longer under the heavy guilt of sin; lay it at the cross this day and receive God’s forgiveness.
- If you have not received Him at all in your heart, the opportunity is open to you today. Do not let it pass you by. Ask the Lord into your heart today and your life will start afresh on a better course.
- Lord, be praised for the great gift of forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
