TEXT: LUKE 15:1-10
MEMORY VERSE: “What man of you having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost, until do find it?” Luke 15:4 KJV
Luke Chapter 15 could be called the “lost” chapter. In this chapter, Jesus talks about the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son. In every case, someone went out to look for what was lost. Jesus underscored God’s passion to seek and save the lost. He did this to establish that saving souls and seeking God’s kingdom are top priorities.
The scribes and Pharisees grumbled about how much time he spent with tax collectors and sinners. He did not retreat, instead He stressed more on this.
Christians should arrange some church programmes targeting the lost sinners more. Our crusade venue should be closer to a place where we can get people converted to Christ than where publicity is made the made most important factor.
Some Christians backslide and leave the Church. As soldiers of the cross, we should make tangible efforts to bring them back to the Christian fold. This is very important, and necessary. How effective are we now in morning cry evangelism? This method was used tremendously in the past to convert souls to Christ. It is never too late to seek the lost sheep.
