Enugu Air has confirmed that one of its aircraft was involved in a runway incursion after landing at Benin Airport, assuring passengers that there were no injuries or fatalities.
In a public notice issued on Thursday, the airline said all passengers and crew members safely disembarked from the aircraft following the incident.
According to the airline, the aircraft has been secured while the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with established procedures. It added that an assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the runway incursion is currently underway.
Enugu Air also warned that the incident could lead to temporary adjustments to some of its flight schedules. It said affected passengers would be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.
Reaffirming its commitment to safety, the airline stated that the safety of its passengers, crew and operations remains its highest priority and pledged to keep the public informed through its official communication channels as investigations continue.
