ABUJA — The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested three suspects allegedly linked to a fraudulent scheme involving Q-net, a global e-commerce and direct selling company.
The suspects — Olaniyan Joshua, Oyetunde Julius Akano, and Victor Oluwale — were apprehended on Wednesday, May 1, 2025, in Abuja and are currently being interrogated by the Commission.
According to the EFCC, the suspects operated under the name “Mighty Infinity Millionaire Limited” and falsely presented themselves as Q-net representatives. The company has since denied any association with them.
Further investigations revealed that the trio also operated an illegal university setup in makeshift locations, offering fake Bachelor of Science degrees in fields including Medicine, Nursing, Cybersecurity, and Geology. They falsely claimed affiliation with Quest International University, Malaysia.
Victims were charged registration fees ranging from N1.2 million to N1.3 million, generating hundreds of millions of naira in illicit proceeds.
This latest development follows an earlier raid by the EFCC on March 24, 2025, at a site dubbed “Q-net University” in Compensation Layout, Gwagwalada, FCT, where 133 suspects were arrested.
