Philip Shaibu, says he has instituted a N50 billion defamation and contempt of court suit against the Edo State Government over its failure to abide by the court ruling reinstating him as Deputy Governor.
Shaibu made this known while reacting to his reinstatement by the Federal High Court, Abuja.
“The judgement reinstating me was declarative and has to be carried out before an appeal over the matter could be heard, while the stay of judgement execution filed by the state cannot see the light of the day until the judgement is executed.
“I have already instituted a N50 billion suit against the governor, Nehikhare and Osagie for defamation. They will be served next week,” he said.
