One of the Ogoni leaders that visited President, Muhammadu Buhari at Aso Rock, Today, HRH. Suanu Baridam has described the visit as one of the best.
Suanu, in a statement shortly after the meeting, said it was fruitful as the president listened to their demands and approved most of them.
According to him, the president was angry with the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio for lying to him that the East-West Road was 90 percent complete.
He stated that the president assured of his commitment to the Ogoni clean up, and also promised to put measures in place to grant late Activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa a presidential pardon.
President, Buhari during the meeting urged the leaders to ensure the protection of National assets like oil pipelines in their communities.
