Urban Drivers in Port Harcourt have staged a peaceful protest along the NTA/Ozuoba Road, over the killing of one of its members by an NSCDC official attached to the State Taskforce on Tuesday.
The protesting drivers in a chat with journalists on Wednesday, said the protest will continue for one week.
One of the driver’s noted that they are pained over the incident, adding that the deceased was preparing for his traditional marriage.
The drivers also stated that any Taskforce official seen in the area would be heavily dealt with.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Rivers State Taskforce on Street Trading and Illegal Motor Park, Felix Nwadiabiye when contacted, said the incident is still been Investigated.
