The Diobu Vigilante Group has called on residents of the area to provide them with useful and important information to enable them effectively curb crime and criminality in the area.
Secretary of the Group, Amatari Biobeledem made this call on Monday after the vigilante group chased a gang of criminals in a car at about 2:00 AM.
He said the criminals abandoned their car at D/line by Landmark Hotels, after they climbed the barrier used as demarcation on the road and lost control.
Amatari also stated that items recovered from their car include heavy duty iron cutters; iron bars, screw drivers, SIM cards, particulars of different cars, and others.
He equally said that they towed the recovered car to the Eagle Crack office in Port Harcourt, where the Police have commenced investigation on the matter. This is especially given the rise in armed robbery and killings in Diobu owing to alleged conflicts between cultists in the area.
