Nigeria’s Former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Madueke-Alison alleged to have stolen billions of naira while in office has now become a citizen of the Dominican Republic according reports.
The ex-minister who is currently wanted by the Nigerian government over allegations of money laundry has equally been appointed Commissioner for Trade and Investment in the country.
Diezani, is believed to be one of the richest persons in the country as over $40 million jewelry was recovered from her by the government in July 2017. A home believed to be worth $37.5 million was recovered from her. Another $2.7 million and $218K were recovered from her in August 2017. Also $153.3 million was equally recovered from her in Jan 2017 by the Nigerian government.
According to reports she had perfected arrangements with the Office of the Prime Minister, Commonwealth of Dominica Republic and lobbied to be appointed as Trade and investment Commissioner.
