The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has called for an investigation into the death of its colleague, Dr. Diaso Vwaere a medical house officer who died as a result of injuries sustained when she was trapped in an elevator at the Lagos General Hospital.
Chairman and Secretary of the organization, Dr. Benjamin Olowojebutu and Dr Ismail Ajibowo made the call in a statement Today.
The NMA also declared a 5-day statewide mourning over her death.
The association called on all doctors in the three State Hospitals to commence indefinite strike.
