Denorsemen Kclub International (DNKI), Rivers State Branch, has warned against what it describes as attempts to tarnish its image following its 2026 Humanitarian Day celebration on October 15.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Nlemadim Uchenna Chambalyn, the organisation condemned the alleged spread of misinformation and defamatory publications concerning its humanitarian activities.
DNKI said its annual Humanitarian Day is aimed at supporting vulnerable people through interventions such as paying medical bills for indigent patients, assisting individuals believed to have been unjustly detained, and undertaking community development projects.
It identified the renovation of a police station along the Trans-Amadi–Abuloma axis of Port Harcourt as one of its major interventions during this year’s celebration.
The organisation maintained that its humanitarian activities were driven by a commitment to community welfare and human dignity, rather than controversy or political interests.
While acknowledging the right of individuals to express opinions and raise concerns, DNKI urged those with genuine grievances to use appropriate channels and rely on verifiable facts.
It also warned against the circulation of what it described as false and malicious claims, adding that it reserved the right to seek legal redress where unlawful defamatory conduct is established.
The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service and community development, insisting that alleged attempts to discredit it would not deter it from carrying out its responsibilities.
