Hon. Prince Lezina Ngbor, member representing Khana Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, has denied media reports that he is related to the alleged killer of a final year student of the Rivers State University on Thursday.
Shortly after the incident, reports emerged online that Mr Wisdom Nwiyaara, the alleged killer was the foster son of Hon. Ngbor.
But, the honourable member, in a statement by his Special Assistant, Kpeau Marvin denied having a relationship with the victim.
Ngbor, who commiserated with the family of the deceased explained that the death of the student was unfortunate as it was received with rude shock.
“…Mr. Wisdom Nwiyaara, the apprehended student who allegedly shot the deceased is not the son, grandson, step son, cousin or nephew of the most revered Sir (Hon.) Prince Lezina Ngbor…, Representing Khana Constituency II in Rivers State House of Assembly,” he said.
“it is also important to note that Sir Prince Ngbor represents Nyokhana district in Khana LGA, while the said wisdom is from Ewee in KenKhana District of a different constituency in the same LGA,” Marvin added.
